The Spotlight, Volume-1, Issue-1: Inaugural Edition

The first issue of Spotlight, published by the Global Centre for Democratic Governance (GCDG), explores the rising threats to democracy and human rights in Bangladesh. It features in-depth coverage of the 4–5 August 2024 extremist attacks, the silencing of dissent, and the erosion of press freedom. The edition also highlights GCDG’s foundational principles and introduces its mission to defend justice, promote transparency, and empower civic voices.
