Organised Human Rights Violations in Bangladesh: A Case Study (Bengali Version)

This case study examines the deadly extremist attack on August 4–5, 2024, in which several police officers were killed in a brutal and coordinated assault. The incident highlights serious human rights violations, state failure to protect its own law enforcement personnel, and the broader implications for democratic accountability. Disturbingly, the interim government of Bangladesh, led by Nobel Laureate Professor Mohammad Yunus, later issued an indemnity to the perpetrators, raising grave concerns about impunity, justice, and the erosion of the rule of law. This report provides a detailed account of the events, responses, and ongoing impact on governance and public trust.
